When you make a commitment of time to interact with those in need and provide direct help, you benefit as much and the people you help. How?
Volunteers learn new skills and discover unknown strengths.
"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever," Mahatma Gandhi said. We never end our capability to learn. Volunteers who plan and supervise the production of a major fundraising event teach others how to set goals, plan an event and develop a spending plan.
